Gaming
I get to work for GameStop again this holiday season. There is nothing better for a gamer than getting paid to talk about video games all day. Thank you AO you know who you are for referring me. I am pumping as many shooters, RPGs and side scrollers into my brain as I can and it is fulfilling to know it is research for my career.

Bad moms
There are several ways to be a bad mom. I have seen several bad moms. I will describe a few who have personally stuck with me through the years.
Mom 1- getting pregnant doesn't strike every woman the same way. A drinker for example got pregnant and stopped drinking and everyone praised her for it. The baby came and the stress of it was to much for her and she started drinking again. She slept through the baby crying and let the little one rash because of sitting in its own filth. The baby didn't even have a crib of its own to sleep in and slept in bed with mom which is usually not a bad thing because the mom has so many instincts which kick in after birth. However she was numbing all her instincts with boos. One night she passed out along side her sleeping infant and when she woke up in the morning she was on top of her limp cold child. The prosecution of the event put her on probation for the death of her child. When she got pregnant again she vowed Never to let a travesty like that happen again. When she passed out drunk again beside her new little one she again awoke upon a unconscious baby. This woman is a bad mom.
Mom 2- this woman had four children. Her first and second children were by the same father. They were unsupervised and got into their parents stash of weed which was of a hefty amount playing and eating the greens while their dad was passed out in the other room. The mom did what she thought was best for herself not to get in trouble for the incident and left the dad. The parents had bought several homes and vehicles with the dads money and the mom took everything from him in the divorce ruthlessly in front of the children leaving lasting scars into there adulthood. This was not the end of their torment however they were shuffled by plane between their parents for visitation but the mother kept full custody. She sold all the properties and bought herself a large farmhouse on a couple acres of land where home improvements could be made to make it livable. At this point she had married a new man and had her third son. Her second son got himself thrown in juvenile hall for burning down a house. Her first son was being forced to take care of the smallest boy and do much of the physical labor to fix the house which remained trashed constantly and caked with dirt for its size was approx. 2500 sq ft. All while he was to be attending school and keeping up with school work in junior high. When his grades dropped he was punished because it made her look like a bad mom. After her fourth son was born she wanted the younger boys to be perfect since her first marriage boys weren't. They were not made to do anything. The third boy started going wherever he wanted without anyone knowing where he was or caring. The oldest boy left tired of his mothers poor behavior. The father left to a different state and made a good life for himself which left the mom with bills she couldn't afford. She was forced into a smaller home when she filled bankrupt. The oldest boy was disgusted that his mother spent her money going out and having fun leaving his youngest brothers unsupervised instead of putting the money into the home where he was forced to make so many childhood sacrifices for. Over the years she had filled all the rooms in the enormous home with furniture and couldn't part with any and became a super hoarder. Her third son decided to live with his dad and her youngest son is left home alone daily amid the mess eating microwaveable foods while his mom partys calling herself a good mom. This woman is a bad mom.
Mom 3- This woman has a daughter who she is very close to. The mother starts dating a man who is a hard worker, loves her daughter and her. They get married and everything is going well. One night the husband goes into the daughters room and touch and rubs himself on the girl. He does this several times over the course of a month and the girl finally tells her mom however the husband makes a story about sleep walking and mistaken identity. The moms asks the daughter if the husband can stay. She takes moms side and the abuse continues. Scared that the mom won't do anything the daughter says nothing more and years go by. The daughter moves out being old enough and comes out with the hole story and makes a police report and he pleads guilty but the mom stays with him because she has started a new family with him a little boy. The mom communicates only with the new family and rejects her own. This woman is a bad mom.

No where to feed your baby in public
Breast feeding your baby can feel like a chore to moms who want the best for their babies when out shopping. There is a definite lack of private alcoves where a mom can feel safe to feed her little one. Too often a breast feeding mom is forced into a restroom or hot car to satisfy her little ones tummy. There is a shining ray of hope for the modern shopping mommy. Nordstroms has adopted a mommy room for moms to breast feed, and change their little ones in a private space made to make them feel safe and secure. Many other stores have started adding a sitting room on to thee woman's restrooms and the trend to include a boobie friendly environment is now on the rise. With the advantages of breast feeding an the disadvantages of formula feeding being more widely publicized mothers rights have no where to go but up.

Microbiology Science
After taking my first test for Microbiology I received an 87%. Not a bad score but I am still bummed I could pull up that extra 3 % to hit a 90%. I am going to get into a nursing program. I find it humiliating that even though I have an Associates of Arts and an Associates of Science that the only establishment which will hire me are those in the food industry. I am tired of medial work and will be getting a better grade of the next test which is supposed to be even harder with more memorization. Don't cross your fingers. Hard work will get it done. I just have to step it up and get it done.
Reveiw of Cloud Atlas by David Mitchell
This story following the tales of these six incredibly interesting people who never meet but are all connected is a thrilling tell that shoots forward through time and back again. This is a great novel which romances the reader into loving a multitude of different personalities. The way Mitchell linked his characters is wonderfully subtle and intriguing. He keeps the reader guessing through the entirety of this beautifully written work about what will happen next. The ending of this book is worth waiting for and I hope many more people read and enjoy it. I can't wait to see it's big screen translation coming soon!

Life Change
It's amazing to me how long it can take to adjust to a major change in your life. Why is it that our lives are constantly changing yet somehow the adjustment time for the "big ones" takes so much longer than any other?
I recently had a beautiful little girl. Well not so recently now. She just turned 9 months old and I am finally adjusting and getting my life back together. The saying "It's different when you have your own children" is definitely sticking true in my mind now that I am going through it. For the past 9 months I have not been working but I am taking a Fall class because it is time to start getting my life moving again. Having a child took a lot of adjustment time and it is not easy but it is also not an excuse to slack off on myself. This was not the first major change in my life and I hope it is not the last.
Now that I have learned how to deal with this "big change" I know that what ever comes next I can handle so much more tactfully without letting it derail my own progress.
